In the fall 2010 semester, the University Council authorized the creation of the E-Learning Support Fund to stimulate the growth of distance and electronic learning course offerings

Funds will be used for the acquisition of electronic collections in disciplines offering hybrid and online courses, projects that extend electronic student support services for all learners, significant course design improvements, IT/learning management system (Moodle) projects that benefit all users, and other e-learning and program development activities.

Beginning with the summer 2011 semester, the University will apply the e-learning support fund assessment to course sections as follows:

  • For undergraduate hybrid (HY) and online (OL) courses, a minimum of $30 per credit hour.
  • For graduate hybrid (HY) and online (OL) courses, a minimum of $50 per credit hour.

 

These courses are coded HY for hybrid and OL for online in the student information system (ISIS) and are listed within the schedule of courses. Students registered for HY or OL courses will incur the increased costs.
