In order to successfully meet increasing student demand at the University, the Office of Distance Learning made a significant investment this Fall by offering a limited number of course design stipends for course design.  The Office of Distance Learning issued a request for electronic course design proposals in September for creating new or significantly improving online courses to be offered in upcoming semesters.

Two types of course design proposals were solicited to design and deliver online courses for the spring, summer or fall 2014 semester(s). Level A awards were for the creation of new online Undergraduate general education courses or courses supporting one of the University’s online degree programs. A priority wish list of courses was provided for those considering proposing for Level A. Level B awards were for the significant improvement of an existing hybrid or online course design.

Thanks to all who participated and congratulations to the award winners!
