The Office of Distance Learning is proud of 190 online and hybrid faculty and staff who are currently up-to-date on their Quality Matters training. Through their participation, these individuals demonstrate their support of quality online course design.

In August, Quality Matters issued a revised rubric of standards: the Quality Matters Higher Education Rubric, 5th Edition (2014). Between August 1 and December 1, 2014, faculty completed one of the following options:

  • Rubric Refresher online workshop (5th edition): Faculty or staff who had completed the online Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) 2011-2013 edition were eligible to complete the 5th edition refresher; 144 completed the refresher between August 1 and December 1, 2014. 
  • Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) online workshop (5th edition): Faculty or staff who had not completed an earlier version of the online APPQMR were expected to complete the online 5th edition APPQMR workshop; 46 completed the online version between August 1 and December 1, 2014.
