Who is Examity®?

Examity® is the leading online proctoring solution that gives students the flexibility to take exams remotely.  It provides instructors, schools and students with the tools they need to prevent cheating and to preserve integrity.  More information can be found at Examity.com

What can be done on the Examity Dashboard:

  • Create a profile – Select your time zone, provide a contact phone number, upload a photo ID, and answer knowledge questions.
  • Schedule an exam – Select the day/time you are able to take your exam within the allowed window.
  • Reschedule/cancel – Reschedule or cancel your appointment
  • Start exam – Click the start exam button to connect to the proctor to begin you exam session

Examity® system requirements are:

  • A desktop computer or laptop with Windows or Mac operating system (Chromebooks, iPads, tablets, smartphones, or other mobile devices are not compatible)
  • Webcam and microphone (built-in or external)
  • Connection to network with sufficient internet speed: at least 2 Mbps download speed and 2 Mbps upload – test internet speed at http://www.speedtest.net
  • Browser with pop-up blocker disabled

How do I know if my system meets those requirements?

Check your system on https://prod.examity.com/systemcheck/ComputerReadinessCheck1.aspx. If you have any questions or concerns, you can email Support@examity.com.

Who will be proctoring my exams?

The team is comprised of strong communicators, technical troubleshooters and well-focused college-educated professionals.

Will I have the same proctor support every time I take my test?

Examity® proctor support team are randomly assigned to exams. You may get the same proctor support more than once, but you may also have a different proctor support for each test.

Does the process of connecting to my proctor support cut into my exam time?

Connecting to proctor support, troubleshooting, and authentication does not count towards the exam duration. Please allow for additional time to complete the connection/authentication. Examity recommends students to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. However during busy times, your wait to connect may be a little longer.

How do I find out the instructions/directions for the exam ahead of time?

After you schedule your testing appointment, a confirmation message will be sent to your university email address that includes the directions for the exam, which includes any special instructions from your instructor and also any special resources that are permitted for the exam.

What if something goes wrong?

Examity® offers technical support all day, every day.  If something goes wrong either before or during an exam, students can connect with our support team by email (support@examity.com), by phone (855-392-6489), or by live chat.
