Administration

A dynamic shared governance model enables the success of the Office of Distance Learning. Qualified professional staff manages the day–to-day operations including program planning, development, marketing and faculty consultation and professional development on course design and delivery.

A Leadership Council composed of faculty representatives from each College as well as representatives from core functional areas (student success, enrollment management, library, etc.) convene multiple times each semester to advise Distance Learning staff on the policy, procedure and planning items.

Specialized topics or focus areas are researched by task forces lead and composed of faculty interested in those topics. Task forces discuss and recommend interventions for topics such as academic integrity, student authentication, learning management system features, instructional technology tools, faculty incentives and evaluation, and much more.
