The IT Help Desk with support from the Office of Distance Learning launched a new browser compatibility check tool this week. Students and faculty are encouraged to access the tool at this link - http://helpdesk.louisiana.edu/get-help/moodle/browsercheck.

The Moodle Browser Compatibility Check tests your browser to determine if it is updated, has JavaScript enabled, is running flash, alerts you if you need the Adobe Acrobat plug-in and checks your connection speed among other features.

Carey Hamburg, E-Learning Media Specialist, commented, “This check tool provides all Moodle users with a quick way to determine if their technology is updated and will allow them to access instructional materials posted by their professors in Moodle courses.” The Browser check is another upgrade offered by IT Help to better serve its customers following the launch of After Hours and Weekend Technical Support in March 2013.
