Any faculty or staff member who may need to keep Zoom recordings captured during the Spring 2021 semester must download recordings from the cloud by May 28. Cloud recordings only remain available through the semester in which they are recorded. All cloud recordings will be deleted at the end of the semester.

Faculty and staff should consider the following when recording and saving meeting recordings.

  • Only record when needed.
  • Periodically delete recordings that are no longer needed.
  • If you need to keep recordings, choose “Local Recording” in your meeting settings or download and save your recordings to your computer from the cloud. If you need to share recordings with students later, you can upload files to Panopto

Cloud recordings will only be available through the current semester. Because there is limited cloud storage, recordings are deleted at the end of each semester.

If you have any questions about Zoom or recording options, email distancelearning@louisiana.edu.
