Don't miss the 2022 FLC Showcase
Tue, 04/12/2022 - 1:31pmIn Fall 2021, faculty members were invited to participate in a new professional development initiative with the Office of Distance Learning: Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs). Faculty across colleges and disciplines proposed ideas for new pedagogies, techniques, and technologies that would encourage collaboration to enhance teaching and learning.
We selected four proposals for the pilot FLC cohort:
-
Developing H5P Activities for Formative and Summative Assessments
Facilitator: Penny Powell, Biology, College of Sciences -
Lights, Camera, Action!: Best Practices for Producing Effective Demonstration Videos
Facilitator: Thomas Cline, Architecture & Design, College of the Arts -
Mission Possible: Exploring Microsoft Office 365 Apps for Engaging Learners
Facilitator: Amanda Mayeaux, Ed.D., Educational Foundations & Leadership, College of Education -
Improving Accessibility, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through Open Educational Resources (OER)
Facilitator: Manyu Li, Ph.D., Psychology, College of Liberal Arts
After several months of work, the four communities will showcase their findings and results in a virtual presentation from noon until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27.
Faculty and staff from across the University of Louisiana at Lafayette are invited to attend the virtual event to learn more about the work of these excellent communities as well as upcoming FLC opportunities!
