More Online Courses Attain National Certification
Wed, 01/18/2023 - 1:52pmIn 2022, 11 instructors earned a QM Course Certification — the most since the process was piloted and implemented in 2019.
The QM Subscriber-Managed course review process replaced the ULearn Course Certification as a means to ensure courses meet or exceed national standards for accessibility and online teaching pedagogy.
Each certified course receives a QM Certification Mark indicating that the course has met Quality Matters Standards. Additionally, departments may award a $1,000 Course Improvement Stipend to faculty members for completing improvements needed to earn the QM course certification.
Course certification is valid for up to 5 years.
